Little Guy Football signups May 27-28

Signups for the 2014 Little Guy Football season will be held May 27028 at Universal Athletics in Butte.

Cost is $40, and signups run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. each night. Little Guy Football is for players entering fourth through sixth grades next school year.

Following is a roundup of action from Saturday’s season-opening day of the Little Guy Football season at the Copper Mountain Complex.

Lisac’s Tire Raiders 60, Subway Steelers 0
Christian Hansen picked off a pair of passes, returning one for a touchdown to highlight the Raider victory. Tanner Huff scored on a run and a punt return, while Banner Cetraro, Cole Schutte and Jager Trumnell all registered rushing TDs, while Tanner Compton anchored the defense.

Brady Anderson made a couple nice catches for the Steelers.  Rylan Richards threw and ran the ball well, while Christopher Sanchez and Nick Hennesey anchored the offensive line. Billy Kelly made some great tackles from his free safety spot.

Casagranda’s Cowboys 19, Papa Murphy’s Jets 0
Kenley Leary ran for a touchdown and returned a punt for a score for the Cowboys. Connor Conda also scored on a rushing TD in the win. Eric Hart, Kadyn Lester and Eyston Lakkala led the defense in the shutout.

Rylan Mulcahy recorded four solo tackles and a sack to lead the Jets. Kyle Hoffert played tough defense at nose guard, while Makile Clark ran the ball tough in the middle.

Rainbow Photo Colts 24, Universal Athletic Dolphins 6
Jace Stenson scored by air and by ground, while Kale McDonald scored two touchdowns to lead the Colts to the win. Cameron Gurnsey racked up yards on the ground, scoring a touchdown. Andrew Dillon, Wyatt Mullaney and John Sullivan shored up a tough Colts defense.

Joe Schrader made some very nice tackles, while Dougy Peoples showed some promise at quarterback for the Dolphins. Kyle Holter scored the team’s lone touchdown. Jacob Rowe played strong on both sides of the ball.

First Citizens Saints 22, American Federal Vikings 0
Gavin Vetter scored on a kick return and a running play to highlight the win. Kooper Klobucar kicked two interceptions, picked off a pass and was a force on defense. Cole Stewart picked off two passes, and Brady Shannon was a beast on defense. Devon Cook was a tackling machine.

Bryson Sestrick stood out at running back for the Vikings. The Vikings defense played well as a team.

Western States Insurance/Les Schwab Packers 40, Thompson’s Giants 0
Jake Humphrey led the offense at quarterback, while Isaac Sholey kicked the ball well for the Packers. Amy Cunningham and Grant Smith were great team players, while Austin Ellis and Cale Stillwagon anchored the offensive line.

Christian Vetter and Cael Stenson were the work horses on offense for the Giants. John Crossman and Jacob Olsen led the defense.

Thriftway 49ers 35, John’s Pork Chop Broncos 18
Ethan Cunningham score four touchdowns to lead the 49ers in the victory. Kadyn Fultz scored on a long run, while Eli Rand and Cameron Tobiness played great on both sides of the ball. Myles Maciag played great defense in the backfield.

Running back Rye Doherty scored all three Bronco TDs, including a long run and a reception. Tight end Wiley Dallaserra caught a long pass from quarterback “Might” Casey Merrifield. Trent Harrison sprung long runs with great blocking. Wyatt O’Neil also played tough.

Following is the roundup of play from Week 2 of the Little Guy Football season. Games are played Saturday mornings at the Copper Mountain Sports Complex.

Newland/Summit Bears 16, Lisac’s Tires Raiders 0
Keagan “The Animal” Gransbery scored two touchdowns to lead Da Bears to the victory. Aidan Lee blocked and tackled well in the win, while Tucker LeProwse tackled well, Colton “Cold” Case played cool defense, Kian O’Neill played a solid all-around game. O’Neill also booted two extra points.

Bodie Jensen and Ty Raiha anchored the defense for the Raiders. Tanner Huff played well at quarterback, and Cole Schutte ran the ball hard. The team buckled down after some early scores and played good defense.

Quiznos Patriots 7, Casagranda’s Cowboys 0
Drew “Born To Be” Badovinac scored on a pass play for the only score of the game, leading the Patriots to the win. Dylan Snyder kicked the extra point. Trey Whitlock added some good play on offense, while Dream Eagle, Nathan Harrington and Cole Worley played great defense.

No highlights were provided for the Cowboys.

Kale McDonald and John Sullivan and a great game at linebacker to lead the shutout for the Colts. Jace Stenson led the offense, scoring on an outstanding touchdown run. Nate Hunt and Wyatt Mullaney excelled on both sides of the line in the win.

For the Broncos, Jaeger Gunderson had a great game at defensive end, while Wylie Dallaserra blocked well and registered eight tackles at middle linebacker. Also, Michael McGivern ran the ball well and played great defense, and Zeke McEwen had a great pass defense.

Harrington Pepsi Eagles 27, Thriftway 49ers 6
Drew Humphrey played a great game at quarterback and defensive end for the Eagles. He also joined Austin Phillips, Konnor Porchervina and Sean Ossello in scoring touchdowns in the victory. The Eagles got great play on the offensive and defensive line by Zach Tierney, Eric Loos, Ryan Singleton and Joey Sever.

Taylor Parks hauled in a long touchdown pass to lead the 49ers. The scoring strike was one of several great passes thrown by Kadyn Fultz. Cameron Tobiness played great defense, while Braxton “Bruisin'” Batterman and Daniel Harrington blocked well on the line.

First Citizens Saints 20, Papa Murphy’s Jets 0
Devon Cook cooked up a touchdown, while Morgan McClernan scored on a long run for the Saints. Kooper Klobucar and Josh “Double” Bacon were awesome on defense. Brady Shannon was a force on both sides of the ball, while Garrett Philpot, Jacob Nielson and Ethan McGillan played hard.

Colt Admensen recorded two solo tackles, while Blake Boughman played tough at center for the Jets. Cayden Zinda had a great game at cornerback, while Nathan Montana and Morgan Montoya played hard.

Western States Insurance/Les Schwab Packers 36, Subway Steelers 6
Cyrus Girard and Ronald Hendrickson played great team ball to lead the Packers to the victory. Bryan Holland and Brendan Roat each registered five tackles, while Egan Lester scored on a 30-yard pass. Also, Ryan Neil, Luke Harding and Jake Humphrey were team leaders.

For the Steelers, Trey Clark made a great catch to score a touchdown. The offensive line was led by Timmy Hollingsworth, Zander Farmen, and Billy “Winter” Coates.  Anthony Liva and Conner St. Pierre led the defensive attack.

Following is the recap of games from Week 3 of the Little Guy Football season. All games are played at the Copper Mountain Complex.

John’s Pork Chop Broncos 14, Universal Athletic Dolphins 0
Quarterback “Mighty” Casey Merrifield scored a pair of touchdowns, while defensive lineman Trent Harrison forced two fumbles on big hits to lead the Broncos. Offensive tackle Blake “Frank Gore” Facincanti made some big blocks, corner back Issah Berghan made big plays and running back Michael McGivern broke free for two long runs.

Lance Wyatt made some big tackles on defense, while Lex Miller played well at corner back to lead the Dolphins. Ryder Hettick flew around the field making plays.

Newland Summit Bears 21, Western States Insurance/Les Schwab Packers 14
Dawson Roesti scored on a nice touchdown pass to highlight yet another Bears victory over the Packers. Nick “Man of” Steilman blocked really well for Da Bears, and Adam Miller and Cameron Brodie played great defense. Tucker LeProwse played a great all-around game.

Ryan Neil and Egan Lester led two scoring drives for the Packers. Bryan Holland and Brenden Roat made big hits, while Austin Ellis and Cyrus Girard were major leaders. Also, Luke Harding and Levi McMahon drove blocks that led to scores.

Harrington Pepsi Eagles 18, Rainbow Photo Colts 6
Zach “The Wrecking Ball” Tierney was a force on both sides of the ball for the Eagles in the win. He caused multiple fumbles and recovered some of those fumbles. Reid Whitlock, Tanner “Grizzly” Bair and Dawson Kriskovich played great at receiver and defensive back. Running backs Sean Ossello, Konnor Pochervina and Keaton Snyder had a great game running the ball. Omar Sepulveda and “Grand” Canyon Mullaney also had a great game.

Cameron Gurnsey and Kale McMahon ran the ball hard for the Colts. Andrew Dillon and Nate Hunt worked hard on the line, while Jace Stenson picked off a pass.

Quiznos Patriots 14, First Citizens Saints 8
Hunter Hotalen and Dylan Snyder ran great on offense as the Patriots picked up the win. Dream Eagle and Trevor “Mister” Jones opened up some huge holes on the offensive line, while Gage Guldseth and Brayden Keane played great defense.

For the Saints, Cole Stewart tossed a touchdown to Jacob Nielson. Kooper Kobucar kicked the extra point, while Mason Masters, Justin Sweet and Jim Kinnsey played hard. “Marvelous” Marucs Manson played hard on both sides of the ball.

American Federal Vikings 35, Papa Murphy’s Jets 0
Kyler Raiha hooked up with Braden Cetraro for a 35-yard touchdown strike to highlight the Vikings’ big victory. Keegan Muffich scored two touchdowns on the ground, while Brady Maloughney ran for one. The Viking defense was “awesome.”

No highlights for the Jets were provided.

Subway Steelers 16, Thomson’s Giants 0
Shay Powers, Konnor Liva, and Kaden Thomas played well at receiver and at corner back the entire game to lead the Steele Curtain to victory. Brayden Guidoni shut down the middle from his nose guard position and Brayden Thomas dominated his defense tackle spot. Trey Clark caught a touchdown pass, and Conner St. Pierre ran for a score.

Cael Stenson ran the ball very well for the Giants. Madilyn Rhodes had a great catch and run for the teams big play of the day.

Week 4 Little Guy Football roundup

Following is the roundup from Week 4 of the Mining City Little Guy Football League. Games are played Saturday mornings at the Copper Mountain Sports Complex.

American Federal Vikings 6, Quiznos Patriots 0
Keegan Muffich’s long touchdown run was the difference in the game as the Vikings turned back the Patriots in the defensive battle. Colten Sunderland, Max Demasais, Austin Harrington and Kody Kuenzel all had a solid game tackling on defense.

Joseph Sehulster and Nathan Harrington played well on defense for the Patriots. Philip Pratt played well at receiver, while Mikey O’Dell and Luke Anderson put in a strong performance on the line.

Newland/Summit Bears 44, Thompson’s Giants 0
Colton “Ice Cold” Case and Tucker LeProwse each scored two touchdowns to lead the Bears. One of Case’s TDs came on a punt return. Adam Miller blocked and tackled well. He also recovered a fumble. Rylan Ruscheinsky played very good on defense, while Cameron Brodie tacked really well.

Alex Winkler and Tyler May played well on defense to lead the Giants.

First Citizens Saints 8, Casagranda’s Cowboys 0
Morgan McLernan scored a touchdown and was awesome on defense, while Kooper Klobucar kicked the two conversion in the victory. Klobucar also a force on both sides of the ball. Justin Sweet, Craig Zimple and Logan McMahon were forces blocking. Cole Stewart and Devon Cook were great on offense, and Quinn Boyle picked off a pass.

Brady Dinius, Connor Konda, Carrick O’Leary, “Mighty” Casey Kautzman and Kadyn Lester played strong defense for the Cowboys.

Lisac’s Tire Raiders 8, Western Stats Insurance/Les Schwab Packers 0
Colr Schutte ran the ball well, and Jagr Trumnell scored on a running play to lead the Raiders. Colt Quinn and Riley Chiotti  great on the offensive line, while Tanner “Straight Outta” Compton was an animal at defensive end.

Jacob “The Bull” Chebul and Levi McMahon played very well for the Packers. Luke Hardin, Isaac Sholey and Egan Lester each registered five tackles, while Ryan Neil and Jake Humphrey showed great heart.

Cameron Gurnsey and Wyatt Mullaney played great on offense to lead the Colts. Jonas Sherman, Matthew Young and Alex “Elementary” Watson were tough on defense.

Israel Warren, Braxton “Bruisin'” Batterman, Myles Maciag, Kolbe Lammi and “Iron” Rye Vincent played hard all game.

Harrington Pepsi Eagles 19, Universal Athletic Dolphins 0
A great team win for the Eagles featured great play form Hunter Holms, Ryan Stenson, Erik Wold and Roman “The Hammer” Denton. The Eagles got some big runs from Konor Porchervina, Keaton Snyder, Sean Ossello and quarterback Drew Humphrey.

Ryan Hettick had a fabulous kick return to go with some fantastic defense for the Dolphins. Riley Gelling and Tyson Campbell also had a great game. Campbell recovered two fumbles. The team also got some great play from Reed Hicks.

Following is the roundup from Week 5 of the Mining City Little Guy Football League. Games are played Saturday mornings at the Copper Mountain Sports Complex.

Newland/Summit Bears 36, Subway Steelers 6
Keagan “The Animal” Gransbery scored two touchdowns to lead the Bears to the win. Adam Miller blocked and tackled well, while Colton “Ice Cold” Case and Kale Anzik played good defense. Jess Goodwin played an all-around good game.

For the Steelers, Konnor Liva caught a deep pass and ran it in for a touchdown. Nick Hennessey made a great catch. Rylan Richards played well at quarterback. Billy “The Hit Man” Kelly played great from his free safety spot, making numerous tackles. Aidan Pezdark played well on both sides of the ball.

Thriftway 49ers 32, Universal Athletic Dolphins n/a
Cameron Tobiness returned an interception to highlight the 49ers effort. Israel Warren dominated on defense, while Kevin Donaldson ran and caught the ball well. Also for the 49ers, Taylor “The Beast” Parks dominated on both sides of the ball, and Kadyn Fultz scored a birthday touchdown on a long run.

Highlights for the Dolphins were not submitted.

Michael McGivern scored on a pick-6 and a run to highlight the Bronco effort. He also played good defense. Rye Doherty scored on a long run, while Wylie Dallaserra caught a long pass. Also, Bridger Schutte and Zach Pesanti dominated on both sides of the line.

For the Eagles, Drew Humphrey had two big TD runs, while Austin Phillips, Keaton Snyder and Reid Whitlock played great at linebacker. Eric Loos played a great game at nose guard, while Ryan “Walk-Off” Singleton and “Grand” Canyon Mullaney had stand-out performances.

Quiznos Patriots 6, Papa Murphy’s Jets 0
Cole Worley ran hard and scored the game-winning touchdown for the Patriots. Tight end Eli Wroblewski caught a nice pass , while Keegan Johnston played great on the offensive line. Dream Eagle and Hunter Hotalen crushed people on defense. Joseph Sehulster also played great defense.

Cayden Zinda crushed the outside receiver to lead the Jets. Rylan Mulcahy played tough in the trench and Josh Peck was a brute running the ball. The defensive performance was the best of the season for the Jets defense.

Casagranda’s Cowboys 14, American Federal Vikings 0
“Mighty” Casey Kautzman, Riley Downey and Carrick O’Leary blocked superbly to open holes for daylight to lead the Cowboy victory. Kimoir Shaw and Camden Dixon played great defense.

Michael Perino made a great catch for the Vikings. Asher “Flash” Gordon and Siarah Sampson played well at receiver, while Julian Paige blocked well on the offensive line.

Lisac’s Tire Raiders 56, Thompson’s Giants 0
Banner Cetraro, Christian Hansen and Colr Schutte scored two touchdowns apiece to highlight the Raiders win. Blake Dracos tossed three TD passes. Tanner Huff and Cameron Cox also scored touchdowns.

Dominik Scown ran the ball well at halfback for the Giants. Maddalyn “Mad Dog” Rhodes played well at receiver, making some big catches. Johnny “Hustle” Crossman played tough at nose tackle.

Following is the roundup from Week 6 of the Mining City Little Guy Football League. Games are played Saturday mornings at the Copper Mountain Sports Complex.

Casagranda’s Cowboys 14, Papa Murphy’s Jets 2
Eyston Lakkala and Kenley Leary each scored a rushing touchdown to lead the Cowboys to the victory. Shayden McGee recovered a fumble, while Camden “Whistlin'” Dixon and Kristian Kellogg played a good game on the defensive line.

Colt Admenson played the game of his life with four solo tackles and a sack for the J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets. Cayden “Legend” Zinda registered an awesome interception, while the offense put together its best game of the year as a whole.

First Citizens Saints 9, American Federal Vikings 6
Gavin Vetter scored a touchdown and Kooper Klobucar booted a 27-yard field goal to lift the Saints to the win. Devin Cook, Brady Shannon and Morgan McClernan played will on both sides of the ball, while Josh “Sizzlin'” Bacon, Marcus Manson and Craig Zimpel had a great day blocking.

Kyler Raiha hit Austin Harrington for a 30-yard touchdown to lead the Vikings. Keegan Muffich had some big runs on offense, and Michael Perino and Brayden Cetraro had a big game defensively.

John’s Pork Chop 25, Thriftway 49ers 7
“Mighty” Casey Merrifield kicked two extra points and tossed a touchdown pass to Wiley “Coyote” Dallaserra to highlight the win. Running backs Michael McGivern and Rye Doherty each scored a touchdown behind an offensive line that opened big holes. Issah Bergman and Zach Pesanti teamed up to record a safety on defense.

Kaden Hennessey, Michael Barrett and Tristen “Lion” King played well on the line for the 49ers. Colby Lammi was all over the field, while Ethan Cunningham scored on a long run and intercepted a pass.

Cale McDonald and Jace Stenson ran hard on offence for the Colts in the win. Alex Watson and Nathan “Snipe” Hunt were tough on defense.

Lance Wyatt and Nick Lester led a solid defensive performance for the Dolphins. Kyle Holter had some beautiful returns and played fabulously on offense. Dougie Peoples had a great all-around game, too.

Banner Cetraro ran for two touchdowns and Colr Schutte added pick 6 for the Raiders. Christian Hansen returned a kick for a touchdown. Tanner Huff and John Fischer both added TDs, while Tanner “Straight Outta” Compton and Bode Jensen played outstanding on the defensive front.

Billy “The Hit Man” Kelly and Connor St. Pierre played great defense to lead the Steelers. Anthony Liva blocked well, while Rylan Richards ran and threw the ball well.

Western States Insurance/Les Schwab Packers 48, Thompson’s Giants 6
Ryan Neil, Luke Harding and Brendan Roat scored long touchdowns to lead the Pack to the win. Bryan Holland and Jake “The Snake” Humphrey each registered five big hits, while Neil blocked four field goals. Grant Smith played added some great play.

Cael Stenson broke a nice touchdown run for the Giants. Johnny Crossman and Jacob Olson played tough on the other side of the ball.

Following is a roundup of the games from the Mining City Little Guy Football League season-ending jamboree, which was held this week on the Bob Green Field at Montana Tech.

Harrington Pepsi Eagles 12, Thriftway 49ers 0
Konner Porchervina scored two touchdowns, while Zach Tierney forced some fumbles to lead the Eagles to the win. Eric Loos recovered a fumble, while Tanner “Grizzly” Bear made an awesome sideline tackle.

Israel Warren, Tristen “Lion” King and Daniel Harrington played great on the defensive line for the 49ers. Kadyn Fultz and Colby Lammi stood out on both sides of the ball.

Universal Athletic Dolphins 6, Harrington Pepsi Eagles (no score)
Kyle “White Lightning” Holter had another great run for the Dolphins, while Joe “Shreddin'” Shrader and Lex “Silky Smooth” Miller both had great games on defense. Ty “Nuggets” Jacobs had a solid game not letting anything past him.

Quarterback Drew Humphrey played a great game at quarterback and ran for a touchdown. Sean Ossello had some awesome runs, while Omar Sepulveda, Dawson Kriskovich and “Grand” Canyon Mullaney played good defense.

Quarterback “Mighty” Casey Merrifield threw for a touchdown and an extra point, while Wylie Dallaserra caught a TD and an extra point in the win. Rye Doherty ran for a pair of 30-yard touchdowns. Also, Nose guard Bridger “Burner” Schutte dominated, defensive end Zach Pesanti had big hits and guard Blake “Frank Gore” Facincanti had a big day blocking.

Kyle “White Lighting” Holter lived up to his nickname with a glorious game that included a miraculous touchdown run. Tucker Sawtell, Soyer Mahkuk and Eric Schultz did a great job taming the wild Bronco offense. Also, Anthony “Double” Knott played a great game.

Jack Akey played great offense and Tucker “Wild” West played great on both sides of the ball.

Devon Cook scored a touchdown to lead the Saints. Kooper Klobucar was a beast on both sides of the ball, while Garrett Philpot, “Marvelous” Marcus Manson and Cole Stewart contributed on offense. Dean Shannon and Brady Shannon were awesome on defense.

Santi Baca made a touchdown-saving interception for the Jets. Cayden “The Legend” Zinda played tough outside coverage on a defense that was solid all around.

Kenley Leary scored the touchdown of the game to lead the Cowboys to victory. Riley Downey and Casey Kautzman blocked great, while Kady Lester and Brady Dinius played awesome defense.

Brothers Caleb and Trevor Jones played great defense along with Dream Eagle, Brayden Keane and Mike O’Dell to lead the Patriots. Dylan Snyder, Hunter “Some Like It” Hotalen and Cole Worley played good on the offensive side of the ball.

American Federal Vikings 12, Papa Murphy’s Jets 0
Kyler Raiha hit Brayden Cetraro for a 25-yard touchdown pass, and Bryson Sestrich returned a pick 20 yards for a score to lead the Vikings to the win. Julian Paige added some great blocking in the win.

Colt Admenson moved to corner and played well for the Jets. Ryan Peck showed some tough running up the middle.

Quizons Patriots 14, American Federal Vikings 6
Trey Whitlock ran the ball well and played good defense, while his cousin Gage Guldseth did a great job keeping contain at defensive end. Eli Wroblewski caught a touchdown pass, Dream Eagle played a great all-around game, and Keagan Johnston was great at defensive tackle.

Keegan Muffich scored on a 5-yard run, while Brady Maloughney made some huge runs to lead the Vikings. Asher “Flash” Gordon made a great catch.

Western States Insurance/Les Schwab Packers 14, Newland/Summit Bears 0
Egan Lester made a bone-crushing block, while Jake Humphrey played hard at nose guard to highlight the Packers win. Cale Stillwagon played both ways very hard, and Ryan Neil, Luke Hardin and Brendan Roat each registered six solo tackles.

Aidan Lee showed some good blocking, and Adam Miller displayed some good hustle for the Bears. Keagan “The Animal” Gransbery ran hard, Tucker LeProwse played solid defense, while Nick “Man of” Steilman played a good all-around game.

Western States Insurance/Les Schwab Packers 18, Subway Steelers 0
Isaac Sholey caught a TD pass, while Jake “The Snake” Humphrey scored on a long run to lead the Packers to the win. Brian Holland dominated on the defensive line and played tough through an injury. Cyrus Girard was a force in the middle.

For the Steelers, Conner St. Pierre ran the ball well behind the blocking of fullback Anthony Liva and the offensive line made up of Zander Farmen, Billy “Winter” Coates, Timmy Hollingsworth, Chris Sanchez, and Brayden Guidoni.  Brady Anderson made great blocks all night from his wide tight end position.

Western States Insurance/Les Schwab Packers 16, Lisac’s Tire Raiders 14
Jake “The Snake” Humphrey scored an overtime touchdown, while Ryan Neil, Luke Hardin and Egan Lester each ran for 50 yards in the win. Bryan Holland and Ian Williams played great defense in the win. Grant Smith picked off a pass, while Levi McMahon and Austin Ellis played like champs.

Colr Schutte scored two rushing touchdowns to lead the Raiders. Banner Cetraro ran the ball hard, while Riley Chiotti Cam Cox and John Fischer anchored the defense in a great game.

Lisac’s Tire Raiders 14, Newland/Summit Bears 0
Kyler Kukay had a big interception from his middle linebacker position to highlight the victory for the boys in silver and black. Banner Cetraro and Colr Schutte ran for touchdowns, while Tanner “Straight Outta” Compton and Colt Quinn had a great game on the defensive line.

Adam Miller and Aidan Lee showed good hustle for the Bears. Dawson Roesti, Erik Johns and Jess Goodwin all played a good all-around game.

Newland/Summit Bears 16, Thompson’s Giants 6
Colton “Cold” Case scored a touchdown and ran really well to lead the Bears. Dawson Roesti played really well, while Cameron Brodie and Kale Anzik played a solid game all around. Kian O’Neill booted two extra points and played very well in the victory. Rylan Ruscheinsky also had a big game.

Christian Vetter and Dominick Scown ran hard for the Giants. Brady Sommers and Tyler Panch also had a big game defensively. Tyler played well on defense, too. His last name was not written legibly.

Subway Steelers 0, Thompson’s Giants 0
The receivers had their best game of the year. They are Nick Hennessey, Kaden Thomas, Konnor Liva, Aidan Pezdark, Shay Powers, and Trey Clark. Pezdark made two great catches.  The defense played excellent holding their ground in the red zone, led by the linebackers Anthony Liva, Rylan Richards, and Brady Anderson.  Billy “The Hit Man” Kelly played excellent from his free safety spot and ran the ball well from his tailback position.

For the Giants, Cael Senson, Jace Sawtell, Tyler May, Alex Winkler and Peyton Warren played tough on defense.

Bulldogs welcome Little Guy players

It will be Little Guy Football night at Naranche Stadium Thursday when Butte High plays host to Missoula Big Sky in a Class AA football game. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

Players from the Mining City Little Guy Football League will be admitted free if they wear their team jerseys. Players will also be introduced to the home crowd.

Coaches and players are asked to meet under the scoreboard on the east end of the stadium at 6:20.

Doug Peoples played a great game at quarterback. He threw a game-winning TD pass to Kyle Holter. Eric Schulz, Cayden Kibler, Tucker Santell and Riley Gelling all played great on the line for the Patriots.

For the Cowboys, Hayden Matauaina had a big game blocking and tackling. Eric Loos, Ryan Singleton and Joey Sever turned out a great game on the defensive line, Zach “The Wall” Tierny completed the defensive effort by filling in the games at middle linebacker. Quarterback Konnor Porchervina and running backs Sean “End Zone” Ossello and Austin “Run it Again” Phillips all executed flawlessly while running the ball.

CCCS Rams 9, Lil Copperheads Bengals 8
Bryson Sestrich ran for a touchdown, while Holm Jackson recorded his first interception in the win. The Rams defense played hard front to back in the win.

For the Bengals, Ryan Snow played a quarterback, scoring a touchdown. Parker Bisch had a big game on the ground, including running in the extra point. Zane Smith showed off some great blocking on the offensive line, Seth Cook registered two goal-line stops on the defensive line, and Anthony Fitzpatrick had big stops at linebacker.

McQueen Athletic Club Colts 6, Opportunity Bank Buccaneers 0
Grady Winston broke loose for the only touchdown of the game to lead the Colts to the win. Garrett Sharp and Kade Schleeman were strong at defensive end, while Nolan Casey made a bunch of tackles at outside linebacker and Will Taylor played great at safety.

Alexander Anderson and Mason Armstrong recovered fumbles to lead the Bucs. Cale Johnson played great at receiver, Diesel Dale played great on defense. Also, Trey Hanson had a big game at quarterback and punter.

Thriftway Giants 20, Universal Athletic Dolphins 18
Quinn Cox and Tyler Galle were the offensive leaders for the Giants in the victory. Bradley Adreon, Daniel Babb and Dade Corcoran were defensive leaders.

For the Dolphins, Zade Moodry and Aiden Cuchine scored touchdowns. Bryce Keane also had a big day on offense, while Greyson Gillis and Canyon Kibler led the defense.

Lisac’s Tire Raiders 14, Newland and Co. Bears 12 (OT)
Gavin Vetter scored two touchdowns and as fearless on defense to lead the Raiders to the win. Kooper Klobucar kicked the 2-point conversion in overtime for the win. Brady Shannon and Morgan McClernan were awesome on defense, and Cole Stewart commanded the offense. Jacob Nielsen played well on both sides of the ball.

Drew Badovinac scored the touchdown for the Bears. Austin Harrington reached across the goal line for the go-ahead TD in overtime. Nathan Harrington led the team in tackles, Luke Anderson was credited with an awesome game, Mikey O’Dell made a great catch.

Buffalo Wild Wings Steelers 28, Lil Copperheads Falcons 7
Taylor Parks threw a nice touchdown pass, while Kadyn Fultz ran for a score and passed for another in the win. Fultz also kicked two extra points. Ethan Cunningham added a TD catch, TD run and an interception. Eli Rand and Cameron Tobiness played a great game on both sides of the ball.

Gabe Galle scored on a 3-yard run to lead the Falcons. Tommy Sawyer scored the conversion. Mikey Moreno was excellent on the offense line, Danny Sonst registered a pair of sacks from the defensive line. Domenic Cline, though, was the defensive MVP at outside linebacker.

Thompson’s Distributing Vikings 24, Sports Fanz Redskins 16
Wiley Dallasera ran for a TD and threw for a TD to lead the Vikings to the win. Tight end Thomas Jensen caught a TD pass, while Rye Doherty ran for a score. Trent Harrison went 3 for 3 on extra points, and Keighton Johnson ran well and had big hits on defense.

Jace Stenson returned a kick for a touchdown to lead the Redskins. Blake Armstrong played a great game at quarterback, David Blue showed some great blocking, Andrew Dillon had a big defensive stop, and Riley Dogle added some big hits.

Lance DuBois had some big hits on defense and special teams to lead a great all-around team performance by the Patriots. Donnegan Norton had a great punt return and played solid defense, while John McCarthy, Tyson Campbell and Kyle Holter made great plays and scored TDs at running back. Also, Jake Rowe, Ty Jacobs and Reid Hicks exhibited great play.

Ethan Goldberg scored on a 7-yard run to lead the Falcons. He also recovered a fumble. Kieran Bjornemo played solid at full back at linebacker, Jake Sather blocked well at receiver and played shutdown at corner. Raine Lofing played great at tight end and safety.

Opportunity Bank Buccaneers 18, Thriftway Giants 8

Mason Armstrong and Trey Hansen scored touchdowns rushing, while Diesel Dale returned a kickoff for a TD to lead the Bucs to the win. Armstrong also picked off two passes, and Cale Johnson recovered a fumble. D.J. Singh, Trey Driscoll, Bob Tyson and Kaden McGillen played “fantastic” on the offensive and defensive lines.

Zander Zimljak and Jake Louma were stellar on offense to lead the Giants. Logan Thomas, Colin McKernan and Bradley Adreon were defensive leaders. McKernan recovered a key fumble.

Newland and Co. Bears 14, Glacier Bank Packers 8

Caleo Jones made a great catch on a TD strike from Drew Badovinac to lead the Bears past the Packers. The go-ahead TD came on a broken play. Trevor Jones, Luke Anderson and Nathan Harrington played exceptionally well on the offensive line. Anderson and Hunter Hotalen played great on defense.

Jeffrey Staton hauled in a 25-yard catch to highlight the Packer performance. Colton Sunderland played awesome on defense, Payton Pressler had a huge game on defense, and Brady Maloughney played well at linebacker.

Harrington Pepsi Chargers 0, McQueen Athletic Club Colts 0 (OT)

Kaleb Paddock and Gavin Roesty played excellent on the defensive line to lead the Chargers in the defensive battle. Bo Demarais had a great run, but was stopped just short of the goal line. Koby Hanni made an amazing block that sprung a running play wide open.

Jake Ricci played tough at center for the Colts. He also made a crucial interception. Austin Schabel played strong on the line on both sides of the ball, and Ty Angore was a lock-down corner. Maverick McEwen also made a critical pick in overtime.

Lisac’s Tire Raiders 30, CCCS Rams 0

Morgan McClernan scored a pair of touchdowns, while Cole Stewart and Gavin Vetter each added one to lead the Raiders to the win. Kooper Klobucar was awesome on both sides of the ball. He also booted three extra points. Garrett Philpot and Ethan McGillan each made a great catch in the win.

Ryan Peck stormed in for a fumble take away to lead the Rams. Rylan Mulcahy held the middle on defense, while Santi Baca stepped up and played well at quarterback.

Sports Fanz Redskins 16, Buffalo Wild Wings Steelers 8

John Sullivan picked off two passes and Kale McDonald intercepted one to lead the Redskins to the win. Aidan Tierney registered two sacks and a tipped pass, Wyatt Mullaney registered a sack and played great defense, and Jonas Sherman kicked two extra points.

Tanner Foster and Braxton Batterman played great on the line for the Steelers. Malachi Saleme and Nick Spencer played good defense. Kadyn Fultz caught a TD pass and booted the PAT.

Casagranda’s Seahawks 32, Lil Copperhead Bengals 6

Eyston Lakkala, Eric Hart, Kenley Leary and Connor Konda each scored a touchdown as the Seahawks picked up the victory. Carrick O’Leary played “Great” at quarterback.

For the Begnals, Jaden Connors played great on defense, and Reece Connors played tough on the defensive line. Linebacker Eli Saltenberger picked off a pass, Joseph Williams played great at corner, and Tyler Flint was solid at center and on the defensive line.

First Citizens Cowboys 22, Thompson Distributing Vikings 20

Anthony Knott, Tanner McDaniel and Keaton Snyder turned in a solid effort in the offensive backfield in the victory. Patrick Paulsen, Grady Quilicy, Dalton Pederson and Hunter Holmes blocked hard on the offensive line. Dawson Kriskovich and Reid Whitlock played “Butte-style defense” from their cornerback positions. Sean “TD” Ossello scored a touchdown on a kickoff and a pick 6. The game ended when Eric Loos sacked a scrambling quarterback.

Rye Doherty threw for a TD and ran for another to lead the Vikings. Jager Gunderson caught the TD. Bridger Schutte dominated the defensive line, and Blake Facincani dominated the offensive line.

Hard-running fullback Kale McDonald scored a touchdown for the Redskins. Kalli Langley played good on the offensive line, while Cameron Gurnsey played great at defensive end. Riley Doyle showed some good tackling and blocking.

Wyatt Gross had an excellent offensive performance to lead the Giants. Jack Keeley played great at quarterback, and Tyler Galle showed off excellent blocking and tackling. Quinn Cox played outstanding on offense and defense, while Gary Rubusch stood out on special teams.

For the Chargers, Tyson Zeren had a strong game running the ball behind the outstanding blocking of Aiden Roher. Will Silk played excellent on defense, while Luke Verlanic was all over the field on defense.

First Citizens Cowboys (NS), Lil Copperhead Falcons 0

Cabe Calle and Danny Senst were the MVPs on defense for the Falcons. Noah Tolon and Mike Moreno played sound on the offensive and defensive lines, while Ethan Golberg was the leading rusher.

Brayden Keane made a tremendous catch on a Drew Badovinac throw to lead the Bears’ effort. Badovinac also ran for a score, while the entire offensive line blocked exceptionally well. Caleb and Trevor Jones made several outstanding defensive plays, and Brennan Field and Nathan Harrington were both forces to be reckoned with on defense.

Taylor Parks registered a sack and threw a nice pass for the Steelers. Kolbe Lammi made a great attach and played great defense. Tyce Powers and Nick Spencer made some heads up plays, while Devin Donaldson boomed two long punts.

Ryan Snow stood out at quarterback for the Bengals. Jason Krantz played well on the offensive line and at linebacker, while Rowdy Swainston and Cory Manker led the defense.

McQueen Athletic Club Colts 12, Universal Athletic Dolphins 0

Maverick McEwen broke the goal line on fourth down for the first TD of the game to kick start the Colts’ win. Garrett Sharp found daylight for a long TD run. He also played tough at defensive end. Hunter Peck kicked well, Tyse Stevens played tough on the defensive line, and Corey Anderson made some key blocks at guard.

Zane Moodry and Ryder Holbrook played good defense, while Logan Neivis and Marc McGilllan did a great job on the offensive line for the Dolphins. Zach O’Connell played well at safety, and Bryce Keane tackled well at cornerback.

First Citizens Cowboys 22, Sports Fanz Redskins 16

Touchdowns by Austin Phillips, Tanner McDaniel and Connor Porchervina led the way for the Cowboys against a tough Redskins defense. Receivers Dawson Kriskovich, Tanner Bair and Reid Whitlock proved key blocks on the touchdown runs. Zach Tierney and Shawn Ossello picked off passes in the win.

Blake Armstrong scored on a long run to lead the Redskins. Also, Jordan Wagner demonstrated good tackling, Aidan Tierney recorded a sack, and Cameron Gurnsey registered two tackles for a loss.

Thompson’s Distributing Vikings 36, Lil Copperheads Falcons 0

Quarterback/running back Wiley Dallaserra and quarterback/running back Rye Doherty each ran for a TD and threw for a score. Jager Gunderson and Jeremiah LaPier caught long passes, while Keighton Johnston and Michael McGivern ran four touchdowns. Strong safety Isaac Kohler picked off a pass and Thomas Jensen had some big hits as the Vikings posted their second shutout in a row.

Nathan Blodnick picked off a pass and had a pair of goal line stops on fourth down to lead the Falcons. Danny Senst and Traelic Stops were the defensive and offensive line MVPs. Kiernan Bjornemo was solid in the defensive backfield.

Harrington Pepsi Chargers 12, Opportunity Bank Buccaneers 6

The Chargers got a great touchdown run by Will Silk and excellent defensive efforts by Riley Tutty, Josh McAdams and Luke O’Dell. Colin Richards-Doyle had key blocks in the victory.

The Bucs got very strong defensive play by Trey Hansen, including a sack and constant pressure on the quarterback. Liam Kindt had a great reception and run, and Diesel Dale and Ethan Zimmerman came together for a big stop on an extra-point conversion. Also, Cale Johnson made a big-time reception down the sideline to set up a Mason Armstrong touchdown run.

Lisac’s Tire Raiders 8, Casagranda’s Seahawks 0

Morgan McClernan ran for a touchdown, and Kooper Klobucar booted the 2-point conversion for the Raiders. Brady Shannon, Quinn Boyle and Gavin Vetter played lights out on defense, and Cole Steward ran the offense and picked off a pass.

Kenley “Ice” Leary played well on offense for the Seahawks. Connor Konda was a tackling machine, while Kadyn Lester played great defense, Brady Dinius made a great catch and Eddie Raurke showed some great hustle.

Little Guy Football Week 6 roundup

Following are the game reports for Week 6 of the Butte Little Guy Football league. This week will feature the season-ending jamboree. Play begins at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday on Montana Tech’s Bob Green Field.

Newland and Company Bears 28, Lisac’s Tire Raiders 11

Cole Worley, Dylan Snyder and Joseph Sehulster each ran in a touchdown, while Drew Badovinac returned an interception for a touchdown. Trevor Jones booted two extra points, Jack Akey made an incredible interception, and Gage Guldseth, Keegan Johnson and Joseph Lyons played great defense. The entire offensive line also stood out.

Gavin Vetter scored a touchdown, and Kooper Klobucar booted a 2-point conversion and a 30-yard field goal to lead the Raiders. Craig Zimple was awesome at linebacker.

Sports Fans Redskins 26, Lil Copperheads Falcons 0

Jace Stenson ran for three touchdowns and added a pick 6 to lead the Redskins to the win. Braiden Howell played good defense in the win, while Tyler Duffey had a nice catch and run, and Alex Watson demonstrated good play at center and on the defensive line.

Kieran Bornemo and Gabe Galle were the defensive MVPs for the Falcons. Nathon Blodnick added an interception, while Noah Tolon and Jimmy Lovett were solid on the offensive line.

Glacier Bank Packers 8, Casagranda’s Seahawks 0

Keegan Muffich busted a 35-yard touchdown run to lead the Packers to the win. Michael Perino made a touchdown-saving tackle for the Packers, while Kyler Raiha picked off a pass and forced a fumble. Also, Camren Stalker had a huge game on defense, and Colton Sunderland registered two sacks.

Connor Konda, Allie Russell and Riley Downey demonstrated serious hustle for the Seahawks. Eddie Roarke and Jed Bullensky played great defense.

Michael McGivern and Rye Dohery ran for touchdowns, while tight end Thomas Jensen caught a TD pass from Doherty in the win. Wiley Dallaserra added a long touchdown run. Jager Gunderson picked off a pass, and lineman Zach Pesanti was dominant on both sides of the ball.

Kolbe Lammi made a great touchdown reception for the Steelers. Kadyn Hennessey and Tanner Foster played well in the trenches, and Cormic Sletten and Nick Spencer played good on defense.

Trey Hansen ran for a touchdown to lead the Buccaneers. Alexander Anderson pushed for a tough PAT conversion. Derek Dunmire played great defense in the win, making a TD-saving shoestring tackle. He also recovered a fumble. Kaden McMillen, Robert Tyson and Anderson each registered a sack, and Cale Johnson made a great stop on special teams.

Universal Athletic Dolphins 22, Thriftway Giants 12

Aiden Cuchine scored a pair of TDs, while Bryce Keane hauled in a 30-yard touchdown pass from Zane Moodry to lead the Dolphins. Also, Canyon Kibler and T.J. Anderson played well on the defensive line, Logan Neives and Marc McGillan led the offensive line, and Max Fantini kicked the ball well.

Kinsey Jaksha and Harley Muffich shined on defense for the G-Men. Kade Corcoran caught a touchdown pass, and Logan “Steak” Thomas was stellar on the line on offense and defense.

Kyle Holter had a monster game on both sides of the ball for the Patriots. Soyer Mahkuk, Haden Struznik and Eric Schultz played great on the offensive and defensive lines, while Logan DuBois and Riley Gelling had a big games on both sides of the ball. Donnegan Norton punted well.

Sean Ossello scored on a treat run behind strong blocking from offensive linemen Joey Sever and Grady Quilici and receiver Canyon Mullaney. Patrick Paulsen, Hunter Holmes and Keaton Snyer turned in a great defensive effort.

Lil Copperheads Bengals 34, CCCS Rams 8

Eli Saltenberger scored three touchdowns and played great defense, while Anthony Fitzpatrick scored two TDs and played great at linebacker to lead the Bengals. Ryan Snow played great at quarterback, and Seth Cook registered two sacks to go along with solid offensive line work. Also, Joseph Williams made some great tackles.

Cayden Zinda hit Santi Brea for a bomb touchdown Blake B. played some tough defense.

Jim Peltomaa, Little Guy Football party set for Friday

The Jim Peltomaa Pre-Super Bowl Party will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the Knights of Columbus Ball Room.

Cost is $25 per person or $40 per couple, and all proceeds go to the Mining City Little Guy Football Program and the Jim Peltomaa Memorial Scholarship.

Food will be provided along with games. A bottomless memorial glass will be available for $20. A silent auction will be held, and all those in attendance will be eligible for drawing prizes, including a chance to win a 50-inch TV.

Also, spots on a 100-square Super Bowl board will be sold for $20. Half will go to the benefit, while the other half goes to the winner.

The Mining City Little Guy Football League is the only program of its kind in the region that offers free registration to all participants. The league provides comprehensive concussion awareness and prevention training to all coaches.

Little Guy Football is for boys and girls entering fourth, fifth and sixth grades next fall. Registration is free.
